English Translation
ʿUthmān ibn Abī al-ʿĀṣ رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ commanded him to lead his people in prayer. Then he said: "Whoever leads a people in prayer, let him make it light, for among them are the weak, the elderly, the sick, and those with needs. But when one prays alone, let him pray however he wishes."
