حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَسَّانَ الْكِنَانِيُّ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّمِيمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَتَبَ لَهُ كِتَابًا بِالْوَصَاةِ لَهُ إِلَى مَنْ بَعْدِهِ مِنْ وُلَاةِ الْأَمْرِ وَخَتَمَ عَلَيْهِ
English Translation
ʿAlī ibn Baḥr narrated to us, he said: al-Walīd ibn Muslim narrated to us, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ḥassān al-Kinānī narrated to us, from al-Ḥārith ibn Muslim ibn al-Ḥārith al-Tamīmī, from his father, that the Prophet ﷺ wrote him a letter of recommendation to whoever would come after him among the authorities, and he sealed it.
