حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ دَخَلَ
عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَقَدْ شَبَّكْتُ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِي فَقَالَ لِي يَا كَعْبُ إِذَا كُنْتَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَلَا تُشَبِّكْ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِكَ فَأَنْتَ فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا انْتَظَرْتَ الصَّلَاةَ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, from ʿAlī ibn Zayd, from Abū al-Mutawakkil, from Kaʿb ibn ʿUjrah رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you performs wuḍūʾ, then comes to the mosque, let him not interlace his fingers, for he is in a state of prayer as long as he is waiting for the prayer.'
