حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَامَ وَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ فَسَب
َّحَ بِهِ مَنْ خَلْفَهُ فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ قُومُوا فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا صَنَعَ بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
Yazīd narrated to us, al-Masʿūdī informed us, from Ziyād ibn ʿIlāqah who said: al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah led us in prayer. When he had prayed two rakʿahs, he stood up and did not sit. Those behind him said 'Subḥān Allāh' but he gestured to them to stand. When he finished his prayer, he gave the salām, then performed two prostrations of forgetfulness. Then he said: 'This is what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did with us.'
