English Translation
Aswad ibn ʿĀmir narrated to us, Isrāʾīl narrated to us, from Jābir, from al-Mughīrah ibn Shibl, from Qays ibn Abī Ḥāzim, from al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in Ẓuhr or ʿAṣr prayer. He stood up (after two rakʿahs) and we said 'Subḥān Allāh.' He said 'Subḥān Allāh' and gestured with his hand — meaning: stand up. So we stood. When he finished his prayer, he performed two prostrations of forgetfulness. Then he said: 'If one of you remembers before he is fully standing, let him sit down. And if he is fully standing, let him not sit down.'
