Hadith #488

English Translation

Wakīʿ narrated to us, Misʿar narrated to us, from Abū Ṣakhrah, from al-Mughīrah ibn ʿAbdullāh, from al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah رضي الله عنه who said: I spent the night with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night. He ordered a side of meat to be roasted, then took a knife and began cutting pieces for me from it. Then Bilāl came to call him for prayer. He put down the knife and said: 'What is wrong with him — may his hands be dusty!' He said: My mustache had grown long, so he trimmed it for me on a miswāk — or said: 'I will trim it for you on a miswāk.'
