حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ أَبِي شَبِيبٍ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ حَدَّثَ بِحَدِيثٍ وَهُوَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ ك
َذِبٌ فَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْكَاذِبِينَ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْكَذَّابِينَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ قَالَ فَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْكَاذِبِينَ

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, Sufyān narrated to us. And ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Ḥabīb, from Maymūn ibn Abī Shabīb, from al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever narrates a ḥadīth while knowing it to be a lie, then he is one of the liars.' ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: 'one of the liars.' — Bahz ibn Asad narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, Ḥabīb ibn Abī Thābit narrated to us — and he mentioned something similar, saying: 'one of the liars.'
