حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنَ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ شَهِدَ لِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَلَى أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ لَهُ أَبُوهُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَنَاخَ وَأَنَاخَ أَصْحَابُهُ قَالَ فَبَرَزَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِحَاجَتِهِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِإِدَاوَةٍ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ لَ
هُ رُومِيَّةٌ ضَيِّقَةُ الْكُمَّيْنِ فَذَهَبَ يُخْرِجُ يَدَيْهِ فَضَاقَتَا فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِنْ تَحْتِ الْجُبَّةِ قَالَ ثُمَّ صَبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ الْخُفَّيْنِ أَهْوَيْتُ لِأَنْزِعَهُمَا فَقَالَ لَا إِنِّي أَدْخَلْتُهُمَا وَهُمَا طَاهِرَتَانِ قَالَ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا قَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ فَشَهِدَ لِي عُرْوَةُ عَلَى أَبِيهِ شَهِدَ لَهُ أَبُوهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, Yūnus ibn Abī Isḥāq narrated to us. I heard it from al-Shaʿbī who said: ʿUrwah ibn al-Mughīrah testified to me on behalf of his father, that his father testified on behalf of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: He was on a journey and made his camel kneel, and his companions made their camels kneel. the Prophet ﷺ went to relieve himself. Then he came and I brought him a water vessel. He was wearing a narrow-sleeved Roman cloak. He went to pull his hands out, but they were too tight, so he pulled them out from underneath the cloak. Then I poured water for him and he performed wuḍūʾ. When he reached the leather socks, I reached to remove them. He said: 'No, I put them on in a state of purity.' So he performed wuḍūʾ and wiped over them. al-Shaʿbī said: ʿUrwah testified to me on behalf of his father, and his father testified on behalf of the Prophet ﷺ.
