حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ ثَرْوَانَ بْنِ مِلْحَانَ قَالَ كُنَّا جُلُوسًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَمَرَّ عَلَيْنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ حَدِّثْنَا مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الْفِتْنَ
ةِ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يَكُونُ بَعْدِي قَوْمٌ يَأْخُذُونَ الْمُلْكَ يَقْتُلُ عَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا قَالَ قُلْنَا لَهُ لَوْ حَدَّثَنَا غَيْرُكَ مَا صَدَّقْنَاهُ قَالَ فَإِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ

English Translation
Muḥammad ibn ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us, Isrāʾīl narrated to us, from Simāk, from Tharwān ibn Milḥān, who said: We were sitting in the mosque when ʿAmmār ibn Yāsir رضي الله عنه passed by us. We said to him: 'Tell us what you heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say about the tribulation.' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: After me there will be people who seize power, some of them killing others over it.' We said to him: 'If anyone other than you had told us, we would not have believed it.' He said: 'It will happen.'
