حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ نَحَلَهُ نُحْلًا فَقَالَتْ لَهُ أُمُّ النُّعْمَانِ أَشْهِدْ لِابْنِي عَلَى هَذَا النُّحْلِ ف
َأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَوَكُلَّ وَلَدِكَ أَعْطَيْتَ مَا أَعْطَيْتَ هَذَا قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَكَرِهَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَشْهَدَ لَهُ

English Translation
Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, Hishām ibn ʿUrwah narrated to us, from his father, from al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr رضي الله عنه — that his father gave him a gift. The mother of al-Nuʿmān said to him: 'Have the Prophet ﷺ witness this gift for my son.' He came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said to him: 'Did you give all your children the same as you gave this one?' He said: 'No.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked witnessing it for him.
