Hadith #104
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ وَرَجُلٍ آخَرَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ تَوَسَّدَ يَمِينَهُ وَيَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَجْمَعُ عِبَادَكَ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ

English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq, from Abū ʿUbaydah and another man, from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib رضي الله عنه who said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to sleep, he would rest on his right hand and say: 'O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You gather Your servants.' Abū Isḥāq said: And the other said: 'on the Day You resurrect Your servants.'
