حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مِنْ الْبَرَا
ءِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِنَاسٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا بُدَّ فَاعِلِينَ فَأَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَأَعِينُوا الْمَظْلُومَ وَاهْدُوا السَّبِيلَ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us: Abū Isḥāq informed us, from al-Barāʾ — Shuʿbah said: and he did not hear it from al-Barāʾ — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by some people of the Anṣār and said: 'If you must, then spread the greeting of peace, help the oppressed, and guide to the way.'
