حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ أَ
نَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي الْقَبْرِ إِذَا سُئِلَ فَعَرَفَ رَبَّهُ قَالَ وَقَالَ شَيْءٌ لَا أَحْفَظُهُ فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { يُثَبِّتُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ }

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us — ʿAlqamah ibn Marthad said: He informed me, from Saʿd ibn ʿUbaydah, from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib: that the Prophet ﷺ said regarding the grave, when one is questioned and recognizes his Lord — he said: And he said something I do not remember — 'That is His saying عز وجل: {Allah keeps firm those who believe with the firm word in the life of this world and in the Hereafter.}'
