English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us: Sufyān narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq, from al-Barāʾ, who said: A man was reciting Sūrat al-Kahf, and he had a horse tied with two ropes. A cloud enveloped him, drawing nearer and nearer, and his horse began to shy away from it. When morning came, he went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned it. He said: "That was the tranquility (al-sakīnah) — it descended because of the Quran."
