English Translation

Wakīʿ narrated to us: Isrāʾīl narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq, from al-Barāʾ, who said: We reached al-Ḥudaybiyah, and it was a well that had been drained dry. We were fourteen hundred. A bucket was drawn from it, and the Prophet ﷺ rinsed his mouth with it and then spat it back in, and he made supplication. So we drank our fill and watered our animals. Wakīʿ said: Fourteen hundred.
