English Translation
Abū Aḥmad narrated to us: Isrāʾīl narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq, from al-Barāʾ, who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at al-Ḥudaybiyah — fourteen hundred — and al-Ḥudaybiyah was a well. We drained it completely. This was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, so he came and sat on its edge. He called for a vessel, rinsed his mouth, then spat into it. Then we left it for a short while, and it provided enough for us and our riding animals to drink as much as we wished.
