English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us, from ʿAdī ibn Thābit, who said: I heard al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib narrating that he heard the Prophet ﷺ — or he said: from the Prophet ﷺ — say regarding the Anṣār: "None loves them except a believer, and none hates them except a hypocrite. Whoever loves them, Allah loves him. And whoever hates them, Allah hates him." He said: I asked him: "Did you yourself hear al-Barāʾ?" He said: "He narrated it to me directly."
