Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَن إِسْرَائِيلَ عَن أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَن الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ مَرَّ بِنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ وَقَدْ طَبَخ

ْنَا الْقُدُورَ فَقَالَ مَا هَذِهِ قُلْنَا حُمُرًا أَصَبْنَاهَا قَالَ وَحْشِيَّةٌ أَمْ أَهْلِيَّةٌ قُلْنَا أَهْلِيَّةٌ قَالَ أَكْفِئُوهَا

English Translation

Wakīʿ narrated from Isrāʾīl, from Abū Isḥāq, from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib, who said: 'the Prophet ﷺ passed by us on the day of Khaybar while we had pots cooking. He said: "What is this?" We said: "Donkeys that we obtained." He said: "Wild or domestic?" We said: "Domestic." He said: "Pour them out."'
