حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ سِمَا

كٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَثَلُ الْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ الصَّائِمِ نَهَارَهُ وَالْقَائِمِ لَيْلَهُ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ مَتَى يَرْجِعُ

English Translation
Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī narrated to us, from Zāʾidah, from Simāk, from al-Nuʿmān ibn Bashīr رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The likeness of the one who strives in the way of Allah is like the one who fasts during the day and stands in prayer at night — until he returns, whenever he returns.'
