ْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّى حَاذَتْ إِبْهَامُهُ شَحْمَةَ أُذُنَيْهِ

English Translation

Wakīʿ narrated to us, Fiṭr narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Jabbār ibn Wāʾil, from his father who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raising his hands when he opened the prayer until his thumbs were level with his earlobes.
