حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ ال
ْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ لِي مِنْ وَجْهِهِ مَا لَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ لِي بِهِ مِنْ وَجْهِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَادِيَةِ الْعَرَبِ صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَهُ وَكَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ كُلَّمَا كَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ وَوَضَعَ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ وَيُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ

English Translation
Yazīd narrated to us, Ashʿath ibn Sawwār informed us, from ʿAbd al-Jabbār ibn Wāʾil ibn Ḥujr, from his father who said: I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he showed me such a welcoming face that I would not want to exchange it for the face of any Bedouin man. I prayed behind him, and he used to raise his hands every time he pronounced takbīr, when he raised, and when he lowered, and between the two prostrations. He would give salām to his right and to his left.
