English Translation
Yaḥyā ibn Abī Bukayr narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, Abū Isḥāq narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Jabbār ibn Wāʾil, from Wāʾil who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placing his right hand over the left in the prayer, near the wrist. He would place his hand [at his side] as if gesturing, raising them until they reached his ears. I prayed behind him, and he recited {not those who have earned anger, nor those who have gone astray} [1:7], then said 'Āmīn' aloud.
