English Translation

Yūnus ibn Muḥammad narrated to us, Layth — meaning Ibn Saʿd — narrated to us, from Yazīd ibn Abī Ḥabīb, from ʿIrāk, that he heard Marwān during the Ḥajj season saying: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ [imposed the punishment of] cutting [the hand] for [stealing] a shield, and a camel is worth more than a shield.'
