English Translation

Surayj narrated to us, Ḥammād — meaning ibn Zayd — narrated to us, from ʿAmr ibn Dīnār, from Nāfiʿ ibn Jubayr, from Bishr ibn Suḥaym, that the Prophet ﷺ ordered a proclamation to be made during the days of Tashrīq: that none shall enter Paradise except a believer, and that these are days of eating and drinking. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī narrated to us, from Sufyān, from Ḥabīb, from Nāfiʿ ibn Jubayr, from Bishr ibn Suḥaym, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon during the days of Tashrīq — and he mentioned a similar narration — and said: "These are days of eating and drinking."
