حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَوَادَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ مَوْلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ لِجَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَشْبَهْتَ خَلْقِي وَخُلُقِي
English Translation
Ḥasan ibn Mūsā narrated to us, Ibn Lahīʿah narrated to us, Bakr ibn Sawādah narrated to us, from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Aslam, the freed slave of the Prophet ﷺ, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say to Jaʿfar ibn Abī Ṭālib رضي الله عنه, 'You resemble me in appearance and in character.'
