English Translation
Muṣʿab ibn Sallām narrated to us: al-Ajlaḥ narrated to us, from Ziyād ibn ʿIlāqah, from Usāmah ibn Sharīk — a man of his people — who said: A Bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, who is the best of people?' He said: 'The best of them in character.' Then he said: 'O Messenger of Allah, shall we seek treatment?' He said: 'Seek treatment, for Allah did not send down a disease without sending down a cure for it — he who knows it knows it, and he who is ignorant of it is ignorant of it.'
