حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ زِيَادٍ يَعْنِي الْمُطَّلِبَ بْنَ زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ عِلَاقَةَ عَنْ أُسَام

َةَ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَدَاوَوْا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ دَاءً إِلَّا أَنْزَلَ مَعَهُ شِفَاءً إِلَّا الْمَوْتَ وَالْهَرَمَ

English Translation

Ibn Ziyād — meaning al-Muṭṭalib ibn Ziyād — narrated to us: Ziyād ibn ʿIlāqah narrated to us, from Usāmah ibn Sharīk: that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Seek treatment, O servants of Allah, for Allah عز وجل did not send down a disease without sending down a cure with it — except death and old age.'
