حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ وَهُوَ جَدُّهُ عَنْ النَّب
ِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ يَا جَرِيرُ اسْتَنْصِتْ النَّاسَ ثُمَّ قَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ

English Translation
Jarīr narrated from the Prophet ﷺ who said during the Farewell Pilgrimage: 'O Jarīr, silence the people.' Then he said in his sermon: 'Do not revert after me to disbelievers striking the necks of one another.'
