Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ ي
َعْمَلُونَ بِالْمَعَاصِي وَفِيهِمْ رَجُلٌ أَعَزُّ مِنْهُمْ وَأَمْنَعُ لَا يُغَيِّرُونَ إِلَّا عَمَّهُمْ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِعِقَابٍ أَوْ قَالَ أَصَابَهُمْ الْعِقَابُ

English Translation
Jarīr narrated from his father, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'No people commit sins while among them is a man who is mightier and more able than them (to stop it) yet they do not change it, except that Allah عز وجل will afflict them all with punishment' — or he said: 'the punishment will befall them.'
