English Translation

Jarīr ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated: We were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when he looked at the moon on the night of the full moon. He said: 'Indeed, you shall be presented before your Lord عز وجل and you shall see Him just as you see this moon — you will not be harmed in seeing Him. So if you are able not to be overwhelmed such that you miss a prayer before sunrise and before sunset, then do so.' Then he recited: {So glorify the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting.}
