Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ قَالَ قَدِمَ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَسْتَذْكِرُهُ كَيْفَ أَخْبَرْتَنِي عَنْ
لَحْمٍ أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ حَرَامٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَهْدَى لَهُ رَجُلٌ عُضْوًا مِنْ لَحْمِ صَيْدٍ فَرَدَّهُ وَقَالَ إِنَّا لَا نَأْكُلُهُ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ

English Translation
Zayd ibn Arqam arrived and Ibn ʿAbbās asked him, recalling: 'How did you tell me about the meat that was gifted to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in the state of iḥrām?' He said: 'Yes, a man gifted him a piece of hunted game meat, but he returned it and said: We do not eat it, for we are in iḥrām.'
