حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ وَأَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَا ثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ قَالَ أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ ف
ِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنَّا نَقْرَأُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَفِضَّةٍ لَابْتَغَى إِلَيْهِمَا آخَرَ وَلَا يَمْلَأُ بَطْنَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ
Isnad Chain
محمد بن عبيد وأبو المنذر
English Translation
Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that we used to recite during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'If the son of Ādam had two valleys of gold and silver, he would seek a third, and nothing fills the belly of the son of Ādam except dust. And Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents.'
