Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ وَمُؤَمَّلٌ قَالَا ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ يَا زَيْدُ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّ
مَ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ صَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ مُؤَمَّلٌ فَرَدَّهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that ibn ʿAbbās asked him: 'Tell me about the game meat that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was given while he was in the state of iḥrām.' He said: 'He was given a haunch of game meat, and he returned it.'
