English Translation

Abū al-Naḍr narrated to us, al-Masʿūdī narrated to us, from al-Rukayn ibn al-Rabīʿ, from his father, from Khuraym ibn Fātik رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Deeds are of six types and people are of four types. The two decisive ones: whoever dies not associating anything with Allah enters Paradise, and whoever dies associating partners with Allah enters the Fire. As for like for like: whoever intends a good deed until he takes it to heart and Allah عز وجل knows that of him, a good deed is written for him. Whoever commits an evil deed, one evil deed is written against him. Whoever does a good deed, it is written as ten of its like. And whoever spends in the way of Allah, a good deed counts as seven hundred. People are of four types: one who is given abundance in this world but restricted in the Hereafter; one given abundance in the Hereafter but restricted in this world; one given abundance in both this world and the Hereafter; and one restricted in both this world and the Hereafter.'
