حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ أَنْبَأَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَارَةَ بْنَ حَدِيدٍ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَجِيلَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ صَخْرًا الْغَامِدِيَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ الْأَزْدِ يَقُولُ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِأُمَّتِي فِي بُكُورِهَا قَالَ وَك
َانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً بَعَثَهُمْ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ وَكَانَ صَخْرٌ رَجُلًا تَاجِرًا وَكَانَ لَهُ غِلْمَانٌ فَكَانَ يَبْعَثُ غِلْمَانَهُ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ قَالَ فَكَثُرَ مَالُهُ حَتَّى كَانَ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ يَضَعُهُ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, he said: Yaʿlā ibn ʿAṭāʾ informed me, he said: I heard ʿUmārah ibn Ḥadīd, a man from Bajīlah, say: I heard Ṣakhr al-Ghāmidī, a man from al-Azd, say: the Prophet ﷺ said: 'O Allah, bless my ummah in their early mornings.' And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, whenever he dispatched a military expedition, would send them out at the beginning of the day. And Ṣakhr was a merchant who had servants, and he would send his servants out at the beginning of the day. He said: His wealth increased until he did not know where to put it.
