حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حِدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ عَنِ ابْن
ِ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ حُدِّثْتُ عَنِ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ وَأَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us, my father narrated to me, Ḥusayn narrated to us, from Ibn Buraydah, who said: I was told from al-Ashʿarī that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness for what I have done and what I have delayed, for what I have concealed and what I have disclosed. You are the One who brings forward and the One who puts back, and You have power over all things.'
