English Translation
Yaḥyā, meaning Ibn Ādam, narrated to us, ʿAmmār ibn Ruzayq narrated to us, from Abū Isḥāq, from Yazīd ibn Abī Maryam, from al-Ashʿarī, who said: 'Ibn Abī Ṭālib reminded us while we were in Basra of a prayer that we used to perform with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, in which he would say the takbīr when he prostrated and when he stood — I do not know whether we had forgotten it or deliberately abandoned it.' Yūnus narrated to us, Ḥammād, meaning Ibn Salamah, narrated to us, from Yūnus, Thābit, Ḥumayd, and Ḥabīb, from al-Ḥasan, from Ḥiṭṭān ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Raqāshī, from Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī, that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Before the Hour' — and he mentioned something similar to the ḥadīth of ʿAbd al-Ṣamad from Ḥammād from ʿAlī ibn Zayd — except that he said: Abū Mūsā said: 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, I find no way out for myself and you, if those [times] reach us, except that we leave them as we entered them — not having shed any blood or taken any wealth.'
