حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي الْعُمَرِيَّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِ

ي هِنْدٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُحِلَّ لِإِنَاثِ أُمَّتِي الْحَرِيرُ وَالذَّهَبُ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَى ذُكُورِهَا

English Translation

Surayj narrated to us, ʿAbd Allāh, meaning al-ʿUmarī, narrated to us, from Nāfiʿ, from Saʿīd ibn Abī Hind, from a man from the people of Basra, from Abū Mūsā, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Silk and gold are permitted for the females of my ummah and forbidden for its males.'
