Hadith #447
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ حَرْمَلَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّ
دِ بْنِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ أَمَانَانِ كَانَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رُفِعَ أَحَدُهُمَا وَبَقِيَ الْآخَرُ { وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ }

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, from Ḥarmalah ibn Qays, from Muḥammad ibn Abī Ayyūb, from Abū Mūsā, who said: 'There were two guarantees of safety during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. One of them has been removed and the other remains: {And Allah would not punish them while you are among them, and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness} [al-Anfāl 8:33].'
