حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ
حَكِيمِ بْنِ دَيْلَمٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَانَتْ الْيَهُودُ يَتَعَاطَسُونَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجَاءَ أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُمْ يَرْحَمُكُمْ اللَّهُ فَكَانَ يَقُولُ لَهُمْ يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, Sufyān narrated to us; and ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from Sufyān, from Ḥakīm ibn Daylam, from Abū Burdah, from his father, who said: The Jews used to sneeze in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ hoping that he would say to them 'May Allah have mercy on you,' but he would say to them: 'May Allah guide you and set your affairs right.'
