English Translation
Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, al-Aʿmash narrated to us, from Shaqīq, from Abū Mūsā, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the man who fights out of bravery, the man who fights out of partisanship, and the man who fights out of showing off — which of these is in the path of Allah تعالى? the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever fights so that the word of Allah is supreme, he is in the path of Allah عز وجل.'
