English Translation
Abū Muʿāwiyah narrated to us, al-Aʿmash narrated to us, from ʿAmr ibn Murrah, from Abū ʿUbaydah, from Abū Mūsā, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us with five statements. He said: 'Indeed Allah تعالى does not sleep, nor does it befit Him to sleep. He lowers the scale and raises it. The deeds of the night are raised to Him before the deeds of the day, and the deeds of the day before the deeds of the night. His veil is light; were He to remove it, the splendors of His Face would burn whatever His sight reaches of His creation.'
