حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ أَبُو الْحَكَمِ عَن أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَن أَبِيهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ لِأَهْلِ ا
لْيَمَنِ شَرَابَيْنِ أَوْ أَشْرِبَةً هَذَا الْبِتْعُ مِنْ الْعَسَلِ وَالْمِزْرُ مِنْ الذُّرَةِ وَالشَّعِيرِ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي فِيهِمَا قَالَ أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ كُلِّ مُسْكِرٍ

English Translation
Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, Qurrah narrated to us, Sayyār Abū al-Ḥakam narrated to us, from Abū Burdah, from his father, who said: I said to the Prophet ﷺ: 'The people of Yemen have two drinks — or beverages — this al-bitʿ which is from honey, and al-mizr which is from corn and barley. What do you command me regarding them?' He said: 'I forbid you from every intoxicant.'
