English Translation
Yaḥyā narrated to us, from al-Taymī, from Abū ʿUthmān, from Abū Mūsā, who said: The people were ascending a slope or mountain pass, and every time a man reached the top, he called out: 'Lā ilāha illā Allāh wa Allāhu akbar.' the Prophet ﷺ was on a mule, urging it among the horses. He said: 'O people, you are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent.' Then he said: 'O Abū Mūsā — or O ʿAbd Allāh ibn Qays — shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh.'
