حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّ
ثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَخَلَّلُ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ يَسْأَلُ عَنْ مَنْزِلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ فَأُتِيَ بِسَكْرَانَ فَأَمَرَ مَنْ كَانَ مَعَهُ أَنْ يَضْرِبُوهُ بِمَا كَانَ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ

English Translation
Zayd ibn al-Ḥubāb narrated to us, Usāmah ibn Zayd narrated to us, he said: al-Zuhrī narrated to me, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Azhar رضي الله عنه who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ making his way through the people on the day of Ḥunayn, asking about the tent of Khālid ibn al-Walīd. A drunkard was brought to him, and he ordered those with him to strike him with whatever was in their hands.
