English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, ʿAbd al-Wāḥid ibn Ziyād narrated to us, ʿĀṣim al-Aḥwal narrated to us, from Abū Kabshah, who said: I heard Abū Mūsā say on the pulpit: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The parable of the righteous companion is like the perfume seller — if he does not give you some of his perfume, its fragrance will cling to you. And the parable of the evil companion is like the blacksmith's bellows.'
