حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ وَحَدَّثَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَزْهَرَ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ

هُ حَضَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ كَانَ يَحْثِي فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ التُّرَابَ قَالَ أَبِي وَهَذَا يَتْلُو حَدِيثَ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ فِي شَارِبِ الْخَمْرِ

English Translation

Yaʿqūb ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ṣāliḥ — and Ibn Shihāb narrated that ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Azhar رضي الله عنه used to narrate that he was present with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he was throwing dust in their faces. My father said: This follows the hadith of al-Zuhrī from Qabīṣah regarding the wine drinker.
