حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَزْهَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ خَرَجَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَكَانَ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ خَيْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ابْنُ أَزْهَرَ فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَمَا هَزَمَ اللَّهُ الْكُفَّارَ وَرَجَعَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ إِلَى رِحَالِهِمْ يَمْشِي فِي الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَيَقُولُ مَنْ يَدُلُّ عَلَى رَحْلِ خَالِدِ ب
ْنِ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ فَمَشَيْتُ أَوْ فَسَعَيْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَأَنَا مُحْتَلِمٌ أَقُولُ مَنْ يَدُلُّ عَلَى رَحْلِ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ حَتَّى تَخَلَّلْنَا عَلَى رَحْلِهِ فَإِذَا خَالِدٌ مُسْتَنِدٌ إِلَى مُؤْخِرَةِ رَحْلِهِ فَأَتَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَى جُرْحِهِ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَحَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَنَفَثَ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us, from Maʿmar, from al-Zuhrī who said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Azhar رضي الله عنه used to narrate from Khālid ibn al-Walīd ibn al-Mughīrah, who went out that day commanding the cavalry of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Ibn Azhar said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after Allah had defeated the disbelievers and the Muslims had returned to their encampments, walking among the Muslims and saying, 'Who can direct me to the tent of Khālid ibn al-Walīd?' I walked — or ran — ahead of him, and I had reached puberty, calling out, 'Who can direct me to the tent of Khālid ibn al-Walīd?' until we made our way to his tent. There was Khālid, leaning against the rear of his saddle. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to him and examined his wound. Al-Zuhrī said: I believe he also said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ blew upon it.
