حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَأَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَن
ِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ حُضَيْرٍ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ وَلَا تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَصَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, al-Ḥajjāj ibn Arṭāʾah informed us, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Laylā, from Usayd ibn Ḥuḍayr رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Perform ablution after eating camel meat, but you need not perform ablution after eating mutton. Pray in the pens of sheep, but do not pray in the resting places of camels.'
