Hadith #105

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِهْزَمٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي طَالُوتَ الْعَبْدِي قَالَ سَمِعْ
تُ أَبَا بَرْزَةَ وَخَرَجَ مِنْ عِنْدِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَهُوَ مُغْضَبٌ فَقَالَ مَا كُنْتُ أَظُنُّ أَنِّي أَعِيشُ حَتَّى أُخَلَّفُ فِي قَوْمٍ يُعَيِّرُونِي بِصُحْبَةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالُوا إِنَّ مُحَمَّدِيَّكُمْ هَذَا لَدَحْدَاحٌ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الْحَوْضِ فَمَنْ كَذَّبَ فَلَا سَقَاهُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى مِنْهُ

English Translation
Yazīd ibn Hārūn narrated to us, Muḥammad ibn Mihzam al-ʿAbdī informed us, from Abū Ṭālūt al-ʿAbdī who said: I heard Abū Barzah — and he had left from the presence of ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Ziyād in anger. He said: I did not think I would live until I would be left among a people who would reproach me for keeping the company of Muḥammad ﷺ. They said: Your Muḥammadī here is short and stout. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention the Ḥawḍ (Pool). Whoever disbelieves in it — may Allah تبارك وتعالى not give him to drink from it.
